The Mist Archipelago is the fourth land and the wall of World 1: the long barrier standing between you and Heart of the Veil. It is the only portal that isn't paid with a Khron rite and a few trophies, but with two forged Relics and a three-stage Path.
The Mist Archipelago is the fourth land and the wall of World 1: the long barrier standing between you and Heart of the Veil. It is the only portal that isn't paid with a Khron rite and a few trophies, but with two forged Relics and a three-stage Path.
Here money stops being the problem and time takes over. You track Supreme material from the very first minute —150 Khron a unit, common or rare— and even so the wall stretch measures about four and a half hours on its own, nearly as much as the first three lands put together.
You arrive with the Sublime gear on and you leave with it: the portal asks for no more. The Supreme ones come later, already on the other side.

What you pull out here turns into the two Veil Relics, which don't improve your haul by a single point: they are the key and nothing else. The Veil Compass asks for 400 Misty Echo, 190 Tide Echo, 110 Ash Echo and 235,070 Khron. The Veil Claws, 300 Pale Coral, 220 Veil Pearl, 110 Dune Glass and another 235,070 Khron.
The portal leads to Heart of the Veil and asks, on top of both Relics: Sublime Compass and Claws, 120 Essence, 180 Misty Echo, 54 Dawn Echo —which only drops in the Dunes of Oblivion, so you have to go back—, 48 Veil Pearl, 1 Serpent's Pearl and the whole Veil Path.
The Path is three stages in order: Trust, deliver 6 Serpent's Pearls; Offering, deposit 769,320 Khron in installments; and Ritual, consume 4 Veil Seal, each one costing 2 Serpent's Pearls, 5 Veil Pearls, 8 Essence and 10,685 Khron.
First thing: tracking and digging don't pay the same here. Tracking, common and rare are both worth 150 Khron; digging, the common drops to 60. If you only look at money, always track — but the 220 Veil Pearls for the Claws and the 48 for the portal come from nowhere else, and those are dug up only.
Second thing: the wall doesn't charge a rite, it charges an Offering, and the Offering is irreversible. The mistake that ruins a week is hitting "Deposit ALL" with the Relics unforged: that's 470,140 Khron for the pair, and what you deposited never comes back. Relics first, Offering after.
The wall's full bill, all at once: 15 victories over the Serpent (1 for the portal, 6 for Trust, 8 for the four Seals), 580 Misty Echo, 288 Veil Pearl, 152 Essence and close to 1.28 M Khron.
And the power jump is real: the Serpent has 150, double the Umbral Alpha and 40 above the Colossus. At 150 power or more you fight with 3 hearts, you open, and she blunders one move in four; below 113 you go in on a single heart and she opens. With both tools Sublime, hitting 150 is exactly level 23.
One last warning: Essence drops at ~25 per hour with any gear. The 152 the wall asks for are about six hours of clock at the normal rate. The only thing that shortens them is the Workshop: with Vein at 10 Essence drops three times as often.

Tracking gives you two echoes and both are Supreme: Misty Echo as the common and Tide Echo as the rare, 150 Khron a unit either way. Digging is a different story: the common is Pale Coral, Sublime, 60 Khron, and only the rare —Veil Pearl— reaches 150.
How often a rare shows up is decided by your gear, not by the land: 31% with the Mundane, 40% with the Refined, 58% with the Sublime and 62% with the Supreme. With the Sublime, which is what the portal demands, each outing leaves 4 finds of 20-30 units; with the Supreme, 40-60. Essence drops separately and at its own pace.
The boss is the Mist Serpent, 150 power, and it drops a Serpent's Pearl on every victory, not just the first. Summoning costs 3 Hunter's Mark + 3 War Horn + 2,351 Khron, and leaves a 4-minute wait before the next one.
