Tracking drops Ash Echo as the common (sublime, 60 Khron) and Dawn Echo as the rare (supreme, 150). Digging drops Dune Glass as the common (sublime, 60) and Golden Chalice as the rare (supreme, 150). Four materials, one per slot — and watch out, digging here has a single common, where Dawn Vale and Umbral Forest each had two.

How much of it comes up rare is decided by your gear tier: 31% with Mundane, 40% with Refined, 58% with Sublime and 62% with Supreme. The amount is a separate matter: each find is 4-7 units with Mundane, 8-12 with Refined, 20-30 with Sublime and 40-60 with Supreme — and rares land at 75% of that figure. With Refined or better, an outing brings four finds instead of three.

Plus the usual, which drops here too: 15 Essence in one go on 5% of outings with Sublime gear, and Hunter's Marks (tracking) or War Horns (digging) on 55% of them — two per outing instead of one from the Sublime tier on.

Why come here

For the two Supremes, basically. The Supreme Compass asks for 2,900 Ash Echo and 740 Dawn Echo; the Supreme Claws ask for 2,420 Dune Glass and 740 Golden Chalice. Add the cross-overs (370 Chalice in the compass, 370 Dawn Echo in the claws) and the 640,000 Khron each recipe costs: the Dunes are the floor the whole endgame stands on.

The portal to the Mist Archipelago is cheaper than it looks. It asks for Refined Compass and Claws (tier 2 — the same the previous portal already demanded: nothing to upgrade), 75 Essence, 6 Colossus's Cores, 180 Ash Echo, 90 Golden Chalice, 60 Alacrya Echo and a rite of 19,116 Khron.

Careful with that last one: Alacrya Echo does not drop here. It is the tracking rare of Umbral Forest, and you have to go back for it.

As a bonus, the Veil Trail: six symbols, four hidden in an order, six tries. The first three wins of the day pay between 637 and 1,593 Khron depending on how many tries you have left, with 30 s between one and the next.

Worth knowing

The digging asymmetry has a practical consequence: since Dune Glass is the only common in that branch, the Sap Compass —which steers your commons toward whichever one you have least of— has nothing to steer here. It is not consumed, but it does nothing either while you dig in the Dunes.

The difficulty jump is not in the portal, it is in the boss. Crossing only asks for tier 2; the Colossus asks for 110 power to give you three lives — two if you clear 82, and one if you do not. Your power is 22 + 4 per level + 6 per tier reached across both tools: with two Refined you need level 16 for the three lives, and with two Sublime, level 13. And power does not hit: it only buys mistakes. On a single life you face ten rounds of memory —2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5 and two of 6 runes— with 15 s to look and 20 to 40 s to repeat.

Summoning him costs 3 Marks + 3 Horns + 701 Khron, and the trophy drops on every victory, so the portal is six fights minimum with 4 minutes of wait between them. The first pays 3,186 Khron; repeats, 1,179.

The classic mistake is selling the commons because they are finally worth something. A thousand Ash Echo is 60,000 Khron —less than a tenth of the Khron for ONE Supreme— and leaves you at a third of the material that same Supreme will demand. And Dawn Echo only drops here: the wall's portal will ask you for 54 more.
