Essence

Essence is the Veil's other currency, and the one that truly rules: the Portals between continents demand it, and it is the one requirement you cannot simply buy. It drops while you farm —tracking or digging— across all five lands, in bursts of up to 15, at a calibrated ~25 per hour that your tool cannot improve: the Supreme multiplies your Khron twelve to sixteen times over, yet your Essence per hour stays exactly where it was. That is the whole design in one sentence: Khron measures how rich you are; Essence measures, almost to the minute, how long you have played.
