The Mist Spyglass does not make you luckier: it makes you see more. Open a flask and for six outings every expedition brings one extra type of find — where a normal outing pulls three, or four once you move past the mundane tool, yours pulls one more, and the engine caps the roll at five types. It raises neither the rare chance nor the amount per find: it widens the roll, which is a different thing. It is the consumable for whoever wants volume and variety per outing — and its icon is so much a 'search' glyph that the game itself uses it as the magnifier on the sell filter.
